Product Implementations

Autonomy ZANTAZ has substantial experience in the implementation of its products. We have designed product specific implementation methodologies that quickly and effectively adapt and configure our products and put them into customer environments. We continually hone and refine those methodologies based on the new implementations that we perform. When implementing at a customer site, we then tailor the standard methodologies to meet specific method or process requirements of the customer IT or program management staffs.

Because most of our customers have IT departments and want to be self sufficient in the use of our products, the implementation methodologies reflect a joint team approach and the training courses are designed to provide rich knowledge of our products and their operations. We typically operate as a single team with a single Project Manager and Project Plan managing all resources. We have found that this joint approach is most effective in allowing knowledge transfer during the project, building customer confidence in the capabilities of the products, and in reducing Autonomy ZANTAZ labor costs charged to the customer.

Our generic approach is a waterfall-based methodology, with customer reviews and milestones at key points. Although in a joint team there is always customer involvement, there are three key milestones where the customer is explicitly asked to agree to the conclusions and proposed next steps:

  • Project Kickoff Meeting – this establishes the communication mechanisms, roles and responsibilities, and initial Project Plan for the project
  • Design and Configuration – at the completion of this task, deliverables, such as the EAS Architecture Diagram and Meridio Records Taxonomy are produced and given to the customer for review. This review ensures that the implementation of the products is done in accordance with the customer's business requirements.
  • Implementation Checklist – after each product is installed in the customer environment, a series of functional tests is performed to ensure that the product has been properly installed and is fully functional.
