Autonomy ZANTAZ Introspect EDD drives unrivalled automation of eDiscovery operations by leveraging Autonomy's Intelligent Data Operating Layer (IDOL) to collect the raw data, cull the data for potentially responsive information, export the resulting set of documents, perform the de-duping and near duplicate processing, and then extract the metadata from those documents to prepare the data in a litigation-ready format. The litigation-ready files can then be loaded on to media or directly ingested into a hosted litigation support tool such as ZANTAZ Introspect Review and Production for more elaborate review, analysis and ultimately, production.

Introspect EDD solutions allow the user to place a redaction or group of redactions directly on a document image. These redactions are semitransparent when viewed within introspect but will be completely nontransparent and users can choose to have the word "redacted" appear on each redaction.

Introspect EDD's ability to handle a redaction or group of redactions as a single annotation is a distinguishing feature compared to other litigation support tools. Through the use of annotations and Introspect's Review Sets, these redactions can have individual descriptions as to why the redaction was made and what privilege is being asserted. Introspect Review and Production

Non-Linear Review

Traditionally review processes have been "linear". Here, every piece of content from a single custodian is assigned to a particular reviewer. The disadvantage of this process is that a single subject or thread is often spread across several custodians' data, and the reviewer does not have access to the full context.

Non-linear review offers the ability to review by subject matter or cluster. This enables a single reviewer to have visibility of a topic across every custodian's data. In this way, the efficiency of the review process is significantly improved because documents on the same topic can be reviewed in their individual contexts, but then "bulk coded".

Autonomy ZANTAZ provides the ability to process near duplicate files from the mass of files produced in an eDiscovery request. By detecting minor variations of the same file or document, the software facilitates non-linear review as well as bulk coding.
