Autonomy ZANTAZ, powered by IDOL, seamlessly integrates all enterprise assets and uniquely provides a single, consolidated archive for storing and managing documents, emails, email attachments including mutimedia files, IM, voice and video in multiple formats and languages. With Autonomy's advanced speech technology, customers can even archive all telephony, including all recorded phone conversations and effectively process and analyze that data for regulatory compliance, as well as risk management and quality assurance. Consolidated archiving allows consistent application of retention policies and seamless investigation across all information sources using IDOL's advanced methods such as conceptual search, clustering and alerting.
IDOL brings conceptual advances to the entire spectrum of IRM, and in particular the archiving space, where many processes use basic legacy methods. Archives are no longer merely for storage, but also for gathering intelligence about content being generated and retained within the enterprise. Legal holds and retention periods have traditionally been set by arbitrary time periods, but companies can now make judicious, well-informed decisions based on the substance of the content.
