ZANTAZ Introspect EDD is an end-to-end solution for regulatory and legal document request. This software or outsourced service, powered by IDOL, performs the critical function of taking a company's raw data and organizing, formatting, processing, and indexing that information so that it can be effectively used for litigation.
Introspect EDD is simple for customers to use and fully comprehensive, removing the time-consuming and costly burden on companies of preparing and processing their own data prior to (and during) litigation. Instead, the ZANTAZ team does it all -- collecting the raw data, culling the data for potentially responsive information, exporting the result set of documents, performing de-duping and near-duplicate processing and then extracting the metadata from those documents to prepare the data in a litigation-ready format. The litigation-ready files can then be loaded on to media and handed back to the customer, or directly ingested in to a hosted litigation support tool such as ZANTAZ Introspect for more elaborate review, analysis and ultimately, production.
As part of the Introspect EDD Service, ZANTAZ also maintains the formatted data in a secure repository on behalf of the customer for a predetermined period of time. This way, customers have the ability to go back and conduct refined searches on the culled data to improve the accuracy of the result set or to provide a quick response to new developments in litigation proceedings.
Key Features:
- Quick turn around - data from some sources can be delivered in as little as 24 hours.
- Lower risk - because data is maintained with a single vendor, there is less of a risk of data spoliation, and chain-of-custody remains in tact from beginning to end. In addition, a report can be provided to show what happened to the data at each step of the process.
- Lower cost - customers can expect a 50% cost savings when compared to other vendors because ZANTAZ' streamlined technology and expert staff ensure that fewer hands touch the data (lowering processing and project management costs)
- Improved understanding of the corpus of data - Because customers can run multiple searches against the same native data set, execute searches across multiple data sets, and leverage near-duplication technology it is easier for the customer to understand what data is available and thus negotiate the corpus of data in legal proceedings. This can save both time and money. Future capabilities that will be available to further enhance a customer's capability to understand the corpus of data will include the ability to search a work product from previous matters and a re-review tool including direct access.
- Tighter controls on data - Not all EDD services are equal. Many vendors are adept at collecting the data but then do not have the infrastructure to appropriately manage it over time. In some cases, vendors can not enforce preservation holds, which puts the customer at great risk. In other cases, vendors do not have the tools to ensure data destruction once the data has reached the end of its useful life. ZANTAZ has built in all of these capabilities into Introspect EDD, plus is SAS 70 Compliant and audits all activities from beginning to end.
- Ability to add-on litigation support tools with no additional risk - Once EDD processing is provided by ZANTAZ, Introspect EDD customers have the ability to leverage Introspect for litigation support capabilities as well. This provides all of the traditional litigation support benefits, plus chain-of-custody remains in tact because the data ever has to leave ZANTAZ custody - which further helps mitigate risk and lower costs.
