Regulatory & Intelligence Communities
Autonomy ZANTAZ's unique ability to analyze and process information automatically, stems from its distinguised heritage in serving the regulatory, intelligence and law enforcement communities. This unrivalled experience helped Autonomy win "single supplier" status to the US Government and is exemplified in a contract for Autonomy's IDOL technology awarded by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shortly after 9/11, and which has now established it as a de facto standard by the DHS in its war on terrorism.
Other leading US regulators and government agencies, including the Department of Energy, The National Nuclear Security Administratrion, the New York Stock Exchange, FINRA and the Securities and Exchange Commission have continued to choose Autonomy as the only supplier capable of delivering the mission-critical, secure, scalable information infrastructure they require.
The Securities & Exchange Commission
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) realised that to guard the securities market successfully, achieve fast and effective prosecution of offenders, and retain its reputation as a vigorous compliance body, it was vital to speed up the investigation process. Overwhelmed by a sea of digitial evidence, the SEC realised that detecting, linking and analyzing information as fast and efficiently as possible was critical to its mission. In response to this challenge, the SEC selected an enterprise license for Autonomy for a huge range of high-risk information processing tasks including a knowledge management system for enforcement, its Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE) and market regulation, as well as to power its EDGAR filings project which allows users to search company filings using natural language queries.
Furthermore, Autonomy provides the advanced analytics functionalities that insure that regulators, examiners and investigators can find relevant documents, evaluate trends and monitor information dynamically as it arrives. In this way, Autonomy ZANTAZ provides the SEC with the vital information infrastructure that will support the organization in its mission to achieve greater shareholder transparency and to safeguard the global capital markets.
NYSE
Following a rigorous and thorough review, the NYSE chose Autonomy ZANTAZ first as an investigation tool, and then to power its own compliance and enforcement systems. Autonomy ZANTAZ's unique ability to automate many of the otherwise labor-intensive tasks associated with compliance examination gives the NYSE the ability to carry out investigations more rapidly and thoroughly in order to protect investors and ensure fair and orderly trading.
By selecting Autonomy ZANTAZ, the NYSE has gained access to the advanced analytics that allow the identification of both 'known' and 'unknown' subjects, alerting the exchange to previously unidentified information. In addition, Autonomy ZANTAZ's highly scalable architecture enables multi-geographical real-time investigations, supplying the NYSE with the option to simultaneously cross-examine content with other exchanges and regulatory bodies all over the world. Furthermore, Autonomy's unique modular approach has made a distributed archetitecture with FINRA (previously NASD) possible, which enables the regulatory giants to accelerate the process of information integration.
FINRA
FINRA (previously NASD) purchased Aungate Investigator & ECA for forensic email and data analysis. By hosting the investigation solution, Autonomy has given FINRA the ability to leverage Aungate's advanced analytics to significantly reduce both the costs and timescales of Investigation, and helps FINRA collect enough evidence to pursue a case where legacy tools would have failed. Furthermore, FINRA's online manual, produced in association with Complinet, another long-time Autonomy customer, benefits from IDOL-powered retrieval. By choosing Autonomy, the de facto standard for the regulatory community, FINRA has also benefited from the ability to share information with other agencies through a single information infrastructure.
